U.S. Civil War (3h 45min, apr 12, 1861 y – 6h 16min, may 9, 1865 y)

Description:

The U.S. Civil War was a conflict between the United States and 11 secessionist states, all of them slaveholding.

Largely as a result of the long-standing controversy over the enslavement of black people, war broke out in April 1861, when secessionist forces attacked Fort Sumter in South Carolina, shortly after United States President Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated.

Following the war, the Confederacy collapsed, slavery was abolished, and 4 million black slaves were freed.

The Reconstruction Era (1863–1877) overlapped and followed the war, with the process of restoring national unity, strengthening the national government, and granting civil rights to freed black slaves throughout the country.
