Famine during the start of the revolution (jan 1, 1788 – mar 10, 1789)

Description:

A severe winter in 1788 resulted in a widespread famine all across France. This resulted in bread riots and the cost of bread going up. By 1789 France ran out of most of their money and the nobility refused to pay taxes, the peasants simply couldn't.
