Description:

to pay off their debt Britain proposes the Sugar, Stamp, Quartering and Tea Acts; they believed that since the protected the colonies in the Seven Years' war, the colonies should pay; colonies felt they didnt need/want protection and that if they are paying taxes that they should have representation in Parliament
