SILENT FILM (jan 1, 1890 – dec 31, 1920)
Description:
From the mid 1890s to the late 1920s silent films were very popular mostly due to the fact that there were difficulties in syncing up film with sound however there was still interest in film at the time most silent movies usually had live musicians for music and sound effects to be used to enhance the viewers experience.This is important as it shows the technological advancement of sound in film and also shows that film can be very popular and interesting even without the sound that today we rely on in film.
