Hepatitis A is one of the oldest diseases known to human kind and the vaccine was helped created by Steven M Feinstone. Hepatitis A causes a serious liver disease. The Hepatitis A vaccine is a inactivaded (killed) vaccine. You need two doses for long lasting protection given at least 6 months apart. Childeren are typically vaccinated between their first and second birthdays (12-23 months).
