Homo Habilis (jan 1, 1997982 BC – jan 1, 147982 BC)
Description:
1. They were the first ones to make stone tools.
2. They ate meat but they did not hunt- if they found a dead animal, they would eat it.
3. If they found fire, like from a forest fire or lightning struck a tree or something, then they could use it.
4. Homo Habilis adults, had an average of 4ft, 3in.
From the shape of these tools, I can infer that they did not throw them, but used them for cutting and scraping.
Homo Habilis did not migrate out of Africa.
The map shown below is a map of the Olduvai Gorge, which is where the remnants of the first Homo Habilis was found.
