First Peak of Immigration (jan 1, 1760 – jan 1, 1830)

Description:

Over 1.2 million immigrants from Britain, Ireland and some African countries, came to the United States during the first peak. Since Europe was controlled by wealthy people, others that were poorer went to the US looking for economic opportunities. Slaves were brought in by force from Africa to plantation owners.
