Yuan Dynasty (apr 13, 1271 – apr 13, 1368)
Description:
The Yuan Dynasty was the result of Mongol rule in China, from 1271 to 1368. This dynasty had flourishing trade and strong organization, and it preserved original Song dynasty traditions. It maintained pre-existing religions (Daoism and Buddhism remained, but Confucianism wasn't prevalent during the Yuan). However, agriculture suffered, and plague and warfare led to a lack of stability; internal conflict and a military by Chinese leader Zhu Yuanzhang led to the collapse of the Yuan Dynasty/
