Slaves in Halifax (dec 25, 1748 – dec 2, 1782)
Description:
Alexander Cochrane proclaimed any black slaves in the US would have safe passage in the Royal Navy as long as they joined the British military or be free settlers to other colonies such as Halifax. In 1950 there was 400 slaves in Halifax that helped to build it.Added to timeline:
