Description:

The collapse of the western Roman Empire was caused by a variety of influences. Internal conflict weakened the Roman empire in the centuries after the Pax Romana. Emperors constantly overthrew each other and tried to stabilize the region to no avail. The Roman empire eventually fell to various Germanic peoples after they invaded Rome(with little effort) in seek of refuge because of pressure put on them by the Huns of central Asia. (2.2)
