Description:

The Maya are an Indigenous group of people from Mexico and Central America. They have existed for almost 10,000 years and they are separated into three periods of importance. First, the Archaic period from 7,000 B.C.E to 2,000 B.C.E, next the Olmec period from around 1,500 B.C.E-200 B.C.E, then the Zapotec which lasted from 600 B.C.E to 800 C.E, and the Teotihuacan from 200-900 C.E with a few other after. These all taken together helped shape Mayan culture and the emergence of their civilization.
