Rebuilding Constantinople's Walls (sep 1, 534 – sep 1, 550)
Description:
Justinan called for the walls around Constantinople to be rebuilt. The wall protecting the city from the sea was 14 miles long. These walls were the reason why Byzantine's capital lasted for so long. The walls provided protection against invaders from the East.
