EPICUREISM (jan 1, 341 BC – jan 1, 270 BC)
Description:
Named after the philosopher Epicurus.
Epicurus' philosophy consists of three parts: Gnoseology or Canonics, which deals with the criteria by which we come to distinguish the true from the false; Physics, which studies nature; and Ethics, which supposes the culmination of the system and to which the first two parts are subordinated.
