The movement was organized by the SLCL and led by Martin Luther King Jr., James Bevel, Fred Shuttlesworth, and more to bring attention to desegregate public facilities in Birmingham, Alabama. This led to many kneel-ins, sit-ins, and marches across residents of Birmingham.#IWillNotStand
