Description:
Jacques Cartier began his first voyage on April 20th, 1534 with a goal of discovering a new passage to the Pacific Ocean/Asia. Along the way he was tasked to mark down any spots with precious metals. Cartier explored the west coast of Newfoundland, discovered Prince Edward Island, and sailed through the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.Added to timeline:
