french new wave (jan 24, 1958 – aug 3, 1964)

Description:

The French new wave changed technology for years to come. Technology like:
-Lighter, cheaper cameras
-Affordable film stock
An example of lighter cheaper cameras is the Eclair cameflex:
It was a small, portable camera that could shoot in both 16mm and 35mm with a three lens offset turret. The portability allowed them to film on location, which meant more interesting sets could be featured in the french new wave films.
