The Industrial Revolution (jan 1, 1750 – sep 1, 1900)

Description:

The transformation of Britain from an agricultural and mercantile society to one of modern industrialism, the Industrial Revolution is considered the path that led to capitalism being the most prominent economic force Europe had to offer. This revolution was the main reason for the feudal system moving to one of industrialization which made equality more prominent. Self-interest and competition became important socially and economically as the production methods of goods were drastically altered.

The government's power leaning away from the monarchy allowed more forward-thinking people to come forward, which pushed Europe into industrialism. The people who became more wealthy because of the revolution also started pushing for more individualist rights with a free-trade economy.
