Upper and Lower Canada Rebellions (jan 23, 1837 – dec 31, 1838)
Description:
 - Rebels were frustrated with patronage and governance of their regions and the favouritism showed by the government to key supporters, especially for land
- Rebellions were independently organized by different groups in each region
- Lower Canada was more violent, a few hundred deaths of civilian an a few dozen British soldiers
- Both rebellions were unorganized, limited their success, and was eventually squashed by British forces
