Description:
 - Born August 30, 1871 in Bridgewater, New Zealand and died on October 19, 1937 in Cambridge, United Kingdom. 
- He was the first person ever to split an atom.
- He figured out that atoms have a small central core which he called the nucleus that is made up of protons and neutrons which is really small when it is compared to the whole atom. 
- He was awarded the Nobel Prize for his Theory of Atomic Structure.
