Plymouth colony was established in present day Cape Cod, Massachusetts. About 100 people founded the colony but, John Smith named the colony.They sailed from New England. The colony was established because the Pilgrims wanted religious freedom and to find a better life. Plymouth ended up being successful. (jan 6, 1620 – dec 13, 1620)
