Salem Witch Trial (feb 1, 1692 – may 1, 1693)
Description:
a series of trials that occurred during February of 1692 until May 1693, in Salem Village, Massachusetts, New England, USA. Nearly 200 villagers were accused of being witches and 25 were killed, 19 were executed, one was killed during torture and five died in prison. The process in which innocent people are accused and judged one after another is famous as an example of a result of mass hysteria
