Between 1914 and 1918 the world was shaken by the First World War. During this conflict two great alliances were faced: "the allies" (France, Great Britain, Russia and the United States) and "the central empires" (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Turkish or Ottoman Empire).
