Women During the Revolutionary War (apr 19, 1775 – sep 3, 1783)

Description:

Women sewed uniforms and cooked for soldiers in the militias. Back at home, they took up jobs which were previously reserved for men, such as running businesses and farmings. Many women also served as secret soldiers to take the place of men.
