Description:

“It is the period that begins with the appearance of the human being, about five million years ago, and finishes with the invention of writing, about 6,000 years ago”. (Ocaña, 2005)
Palaeolithic Age: “also called Old Stone Age, ancient cultural stage, or level, of human development, characterized by the use of rudimentary chipped stone tools” (Britannica Encyclopedia, 2017). According to Britannica Encyclopedia (2017), One of the evidence that archeologist have discovered was near Kenya’s Lake Turkana, a primitive stone tools embedded in rocks dating to 3.3 million years ago.
Neolithic Age: “which began about 10,000 years ago, human beings lived in villages. Human communities cultivated the land and raised cattle. Agriculture and cattle rising gave rise to a productive economy” (Ocaña, 2005)
Metal Age: “Final technological and cultural stage in the Stone – Bronze –Iron-Age sequence. The date of the full Iron Age, in which this metal for the most part replaced bronze in implements and weapons, varied geographically, beginning in the Middle East and southeastern Europe about 1200 bce but in China not until about 600 bce” (Ocaña, 2005)
