Nullification Crisis (mar 15, 1832 – may 7, 1833)
Description:
John C. Calhoun proposes that states can nullify federal laws if they disagree with them and used the kentucky and virginia resolutions as inspiration. This lead to south carolina nullifying the tariff of 1832 leading to a crisis with andrew jackson.
