King John's mishaps (jan 1, 1204 – dec 31, 1214)
Description:
King John had a few mishaps that made him sign the Magna Carta. He lost some ancestral lands in France to King Philip II. He struggled to get them back, so he raised the taxes on the barons to get money to fight a war. It ended with an expensive loss.
