René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle,he was a french explorer who was lost!Looking for the Mississippi River.Fort St.Louis settlement claied Texas for the french for 2 years.He was murdered by is own crew.Made the spanish paranoid,more serious about settling Texas.He bured 1 of is ships and pirates took the other one they ran out of resources too.
