First World War (jul 28, 1914 – nov 11, 1918)
Description:
The First World War was when the Canadian Red Cross was recognized by the population as an important organization. People realized how much they were helping during the war and started donating and joining. Jump starting the CRC's growth. They helped during the war the same as they had during the Boer war, but to a greater extent as they were now more recognized. During the war the CRC set up overseas headquarters in London, to make everything they were doing in Britain run a lot smooth.
