The Boer War (oct 11, 1899 – may 31, 1902)
Description:
Traditionally, Red Cross societies only worked during wartime, so this was the first time the CRC got to do anything since its formation. They sent over doctors, mediacal supplies and food. This is when the Canadian Red Cross first started getting any kind of support from the public. Canadians really started to rally around the CRC. But, the CRC did not have a big enough impact to stay and they just faded away until the First World War.
