Francisco Vázquez de Coronado was a Spanish explorer who traversed the Texas Panhandle and told of buffalo and vast plains. He explored parts of Arizona and all the way up to Kansas looking for the 7 Cities of Gold. He was the first to see the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River throughout his expedition.Added to timeline:
