Description:
Marco Polo was a Venetian merchant, explorer, and writer. He was famed for producing a European account of medieval China, as well as some other Asian regions. After 24 years of travel, he returned home to find the Venetian-Genoan war taking place and was swiftly imprisoned. During his imprisonment, he dictated his tales to a fellow prisoner. After his release he married, pumped out three kids, and became a wealthy merchant.
