The Hundred Years' War (may 24, 1337 – oct 19, 1453)

Description:

The Hundred Years' War was a war between France and England which lasted for 116 years (false advertising). Though it was really a series of mini-wars between the ruling families of France and England, respectively the House of Valois and the House of Plantagenet. The war is known as both the height of chivalry as well as its decline. The war is generally separated into three phases; the Edwardian War, The Caroline War, and the Lancastrian War. Though both sides underwent periods of victory and defeat the winners in the end were the French.
