Description:
(1861-1865)- The southern states in the USA tried to break away from the US because they thought North was threatening their “ways of life”. President Lincoln chose to fight to “preserve the Union”. As a result of the war, slavery in the USA is abolished. (Slavery in North America started during the Colonial Period and was confirmed in the US Constitution.)Added to timeline:
