Goal was to provide critical examination of the city, reshape industrial cities into decentralized regional cities, promote comprehensiveness in planning, preserve large areas of the natural environment
The group developed new planning methods from working on the Radburn project - multi-disciplinary synthesis of most current data and expert advise, the decision making process developed later into the "planning process" - formulate goals, collect data, develop and select plan, implement the plan, and later evaluate it.
