Great Famine (jan 1, 1315 – jan 1, 1322)

Description:

From 1315-1322 harvests failed around Europe. This loss of crops was caused by more rainstorms affecting Europe than usual. It was especially brutal because growing cities relied on food from rural areas without producing any themselves. This left populations weak and greatly decreased in size making the Black Death more brutal.
