Description:
Civil War:
Fought between the reds (Bolsheviks, communists and conscripts), the whites (SRs, Mensheviks, tsarists, Allies and others. Often fought each other) and the greens (rogue peasant groups fighting in 'uprisings').
- Allies wanted Russia to rejoin the war initially, and then wanted to stop communism emerging
War Communism:
Saw the nationalisation of industry under the Vesenkha, the banning of private trade, the introduction of prodraverstka and rationing, and harsh labour discipline.
