King Richard III (jun 26, 1483 – aug 21, 1485)
Description:
Debated by historians as to whether or not he was a usurper, as he succeeded the throne after Edward IV's sons were deposed due to questions of their legitimacy, and they were later murdered, the suspect of this being Richard III. He ruled very briefly as his rival, the Lancastrian claimant Henry VII, attacked the country. This lead to his death at the Battle of Bosworth, securing the throne for the Lancastrian Tudors and endeing both the Wars of the Roses and the Medieval Era.
