Cretaceous Period (aug 7, 142000000 BC – aug 6, 65000000 BC)
Description:
This period ended with the most famous mass extinction in history- the one that killed the dinosaurs. At this time, before the dinosaurs' end, it was a nice, warm period with no ice caps at the poles. Much of our dry land - Southern England and the Midwest of the Americas- were underwater at this time.
