Comfort womens are womens and girls who are forced as a sexual slavery by the Japanese mainly during and before the World War II. The comfort women wasn’t just occupied from Korea, it was also occupied by China and Philippine. As Korea became Japan’s colony, Japan did many bad things to us. First of all they forced Korean man to join their army. They just went around and gather strong healthy man from Korea and used them as their soldiers, treating them very unfairly. Secondly they forced Korean women and even girls to be sexual slaves. They followed the Japanese soldiers and ‘comforted’ them when they felt tired. It was done in such a cruel way that it was a total crime. But this topic about Comfort women is still an ongoing debate topic. In the perspective of the Koreans, we obviously think that Japan did wrong and it was a terrible thing. So we protested that the Japanese government who were in charge of the comfort women should be punished. But on the other hand, the Japanese says that it was done by their choice. And they even said that they treated the comfort women very well. So this issue about comfort women is still debatable but from a koreans perspective it is a heart breaking issue.
