John Locke (aug 29, 1632 – oct 28, 1704)
Description:
Locke believed that children are born as blank slates, so they need to be taught early. We still see this today in early education in that we usually believe enviroenment and caregivers effect the way a child learns. He thought that children learn directly from teaching. This influenced education by placing learning repsonsibility on students and teaching responibility on teachers.Added to timeline:
