Description:

Ended with treaties that made up the Peace of Westphalia. Set the stage for the centralized Catholic empire to give way to a community of sovereign states.

After 1630, role of religion in Euro politics declined. Perhaps the biggest achievement of the war, as it eliminated major destabilizing influence in Euro politics
