-A theory of how gunpowder weapons ended up in Europe is that they made their way trough the Silk Road.-Another theory is that they were introduced through Mongol invasions.
-Benefit: Helped Europeans in defensive wars.
-Cost: The more firearms began to grow and spread, the more they became used as a deadly weapon... not just defensively.
