*The fire lance is the predecessor of all firearms. It is a black powder filled tube attached to the end of a spear and essentially used as a flame thrower as it blasts flames at the enemy.
-Benefit: Helped the Chinese fight many wars and conquer new lands.
-Cost: Was the predecessor of firearms, which can be the result of many deaths and the fire lance itself caused many deaths in wars.
