Description:
-The invention of black powder (later known as gunpowder) in China. Black powder is a mixture of saltpetre (potassium nitrate), sulfur, and charcoal. This black powder eventually spread to the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
-Benefit: Lead to the invention of many fireworks and was used in ceremonies.
-Cost: Lead to the invention of small bombs, which were used to infiltrate forts.
