Description:
This was a series of Zulu and other Nguni wars and forced migrations of the second and third decades of the 19th century.This event was significant as it changed the demographic, social, and political configuration of southern and central Africa and parts of eastern Africa. Many natives were killed in the process, and a lot of land was left unoccupied. The Voortrekkers took advantage of this and seized much of the unoccupied land into their own hands.
