"On February 21st, 1999, all STARKILL samples housed in HOME Primary Headquarters were ordered to be terminated during OPERATION: SKYSTRIKE. This order included all cells contained in cryo-stasis as well as all necrotic CBE cells. All research of Akashic Plane interactions was halted. While the loss of research material would be a great detriment to HOME's ability to research the CBE object AZ-001, the research already conducted was more than torough enough to plan for a total annihlation of the main orbital body of AZ-001. Furthermore, hypotheses developed from the existing research could aid in further understanding of CBEs and the Akashic Plane. Contigency plans for failure of the operation were made using available data."

"In order to prevent an information backup into the Akashic Plane, a synchronized termination of both the remaining orbital body and the lab samples was planned. To enable complete syncronization, an incineration chamber was developed in a new sub level at HOME Primary Headquarters. This chamber allowed for instant incineration of all housed STARKILL samples. Further, activation of the chamber was synched to the detonation trigger on the ICBM nuclear armament that would be used to terminate the orbital body of AZ-001. The ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile) containing a 2 megaton yield nuclear warhead would be launched from Vandenburg Air Force Base, travelling to LEO (Low Earth Orbit) to rendevous with the orbital body pf AZ-001. At the exact moment of detonation, the incineration chamber at HOME Primary Headquarters would activate, completely eradicating all known instances of STARKILL and AZ-001."

"On February 23rd, 1999, at 12:00 AM, OPERATION: SKYSTRIKE commenced. The nuclear ICBM was launched from Vandeburg Air Force Base with a trajectory intercepting the orbital body of AZ-001 over the Pacific Ocean. At the time of launch, all STARKILL samples were securely contained within the sub level incineration chamber, ready for activation."

"Following the synchronized termination operation, a chunk of AZ-001 orbital body managed to remain intact despite the high yield of the nuclear warhead. This chunk began a de-orbit process, with a trajectory headed for Rockford, Iowa. Contingency Plan C was enacted, involving the use of AGM Hellfire missiles launched from figher jets to completely destroy the remaining chunks after impact. However, there was still an 80% margin of error in predicting Akashic Plane backup porcedures. Further, safety of civilians during a contingency event could not be guaranteed."

"As the anomalous chunk entered the atmosphere, magnetized outgassing made accurate tacking nearly impossible. The gas created a prominent cloud around the object, obscuring it from sensors. As it would later be discovered, a second portion of the chunk detached from the primary chunk during atmosphere entry, landing in Diamond, Wyoming, while the main chunk landed in Rockford, Iowa. Ground hazard containment teams were immediately sent to Rockford for containment procedure; however, what the team found there was beyond the capabilities of HOME containment. A gravitational anomaly was discovered at the site, where objects were levitated off the ground, being hoisted multiple miles into the air. Further, a four-dimensional slip was observed, causing objects and organisms to phase in between each other and for local geometry to fold in on itself. The center of this chunk appeared to be a glowing object in the form of concetric wheels and cubes that were folding in on each other in a hypercubic configuration. AGM Hellfire missiles were deployed in an attempt to terminate the anomalous CBE instance. However, all attempts to destroy the instance failed as the missiles' geometries were altered as they approached the influence radius. Within hours, STARKILL entities began forming from the CBE chunk, extending the outward radius of the anomalous zone."

"At 3:22 AM on February 23rd, 1999, ground teams approached Rockford, Iowa to elimate the remaining chunk of AZ-001. Operatives from the HOME Department of Hazard Containment, including special LIGHTBRINGER operatives, were present at the contigency operation... ...Following this interaction. all ground teams were evacuated from the Rockford site. HOME Department of Press and Media set up false news coverage of Rockford that would claim a chemical explosion caused a 10 square-mile exclusion zone. Roads were blocked off as far as 20 miles out from Rockford to prevent coverage of the gravitational anomaly event."
