Description:
"The body [...] had been dead three days. [...] Found early Tuesday [12/26/72]. Police said the man had been strangled Saturday evening [12/23/72]. [...] Sgt John Averyt said the body was found on the asphalt shoulder of the well-traveled offramp and that it could not have been there undiscovered for long" (LAT 12/27/72).
"The fully-clothed body of [...] Edward Moore was discovered Dec. 26 [1972] on the shoulder of a freeway offramp in Seal Beach. Sgt John Averyt of the Seal Beach homicide detail said the young man apparently was strangled in the early morning hours and then dumped on the San Gabriel River Freeway" (SPNP 3/1/73).
"On Dec. 26 [1972], his body was found near the 7th Street off-ramp of the southbound San Gabriel River (I-605) Freeway. An autopsy determined that he had been strangled, probably three days before his body was found" (Last Ride, Ch.7).
