Description:

"The coroner's investigator says the man apparently had been dead for six or seven hours before the body was discovered" (LBI, SPNP 2/7/73).

"The nude body was discovered by a truck driver who had been driving in an oil field adjacent to the freeway shortly before 11:30am. [...] He apparently had been dead six or seven hours" (TDB 2/7/73).

"The nude body of a young man who had been garrotted with a length of steel wire was found Feb. 6 [1973] on a muddy, brush-covered bank of the Terminal Island Freeway in Wilmington. Harbor Division police said the victim apparently had been dead for about six hours when he was found by a passing truck driver" (SPNP 3/1/73).
