Age: 32--33T.J. is elected to serve as the Virginian Delegate to the Second Continental Congress
On September 2nd, T.J. resigns from Congress to care for his family and his wife, Martha, who has fallen ill from experiencing a miscarriage during the summer of this year.
On Sept 30th, T.J. declines an offer to negotiate treaties between France and America for the same reason he resigned from Congress.
