Reorganized royal council / strengthened tax setup to revive economy

Made first permanent royal army in Europe
Marriage grandson Louis XII + Anne of Brittany → + western duchy of Brittany 2 France

Concordat of Bologna treaty between King Francis I + Pope Leo X balanced church + state: French kings control selection of bishops/abbots, pope can receive their income for 1st year
